Invitation to Submit Video Contributions for World Logic Day 2026

In view of the upcoming World Logic Day 2026, which will be celebrated on 14 January, SILFS intends to promote a highly visible initiative.

We plan to produce a collective video to be disseminated through the Society’s social media channels on 14 January. The primary objective is twofold: on the one hand, to raise wider public awareness of the importance of Logic and Philosophy of Science; on the other, to offer a comprehensive overview of the vitality of our Scientific-Disciplinary Sector at the national level.

To this end, we invite each Research Group and Local Unit to contribute a short video. In this contribution, with a maximum duration of 15–20 minutes, you are encouraged to illustrate in a clear and accessible manner, suitable also for a non-specialist audience, the most significant and current research themes and projects that your groups are developing in the short, medium, and long term.

We believe this is an important opportunity to highlight the exceptional work carried out in our institutions and to show the richness and diversity of the Italian logical-philosophical landscape.

To allow us to proceed with editing and to assemble a cohesive final product, we kindly ask you to send your video contribution, in Italian, no later than 15 December 2025 to the following address: dfazio2@unite.it. Below, we summarize some technical and stylistic guidelines to ensure uniformity and coherence among the various contributions.

Video Format

Total duration: max 4–5 minutes per individual contribution

Video format: horizontal 16:9

Recommended resolution: Full HD (1920×1080)

File format: .mp4

Video Content

We envisage a format that goes beyond a static talking-head presentation. To give the final product the elegance and visual richness of a divulgative docufilm, each contribution may be enriched with contextual footage, such as shots of your institution and complementary visual material. Given the outreach nature of the project, we suggest avoiding the use of traditional presentation slides or didactic aids.
